I’m Steve Harpster—an author, illustrator, cartoonist, animator, and YouTuber with more than 25 years of experience bringing characters and stories to life. I’ve illustrated over 200 children’s books and built an online community of more than 350,000 subscribers who love learning to draw.

Through my books, videos, school assemblies, and interactive drawing programs, I show kids how easy and exciting creativity can be. Using simple letters, numbers, and shapes, I help students create original characters, tell imaginative stories, and build confidence in their creativity.

I live in Cincinnati with my wife and two kids. When I’m not drawing, I enjoy playing pickleball, watching movies, and eating my favorite foods—cheeseburgers, chocolate chip cookies, and ice cream!
